Today is the day!
It is the official kick-off for my Elm Street Quilts Bag It event!!
I've been working for months creating all new tutorials for all types of bags to help inspire your holiday handmade.
That said, to participate in Elm Street Quilts Bag It you just have to make and share a bag - ANY bag from any tutorial, any pattern. It is that simple.
Grab a button from the sidebar and tell a friend - let's have a fun time!
This post is filled with information including sneak peaks of the new bag tutorials.
There are going to be several ways to earn entries for a chance for a prize from our sponsors.
Regardless of how you earn your entries, all the entries will be pooled together and be eligible for one of the great prizes from our sponsors.
There will be eighteen (18) participant winners!! These prizes are awesome and will be shared in the sponsor introduction posts which start September 12.
Here are the three (3) ways you can earn entries:
Show some sponsor love! - Starting September 12, there will be options to earn entries by virtually visiting each of the sponsors. We'll share a bit about the sponsors across several posts so you have plenty of time to visit each one. All those entries go into the overall entry Bag It virtual hat!

Share your own bag tutorial from your blog and join the bag tutorial linky. Sharing a bag tutorial - or doing a new blog post that references an existing tutorial and the Bag It event - will also earn an entry into the overall Bag It virtual hat! I'll be featuring some of bloggers from this pool of tutorials during the Bag It event.

Have a wonderful day! Patty
Can't wait! This will be fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to sew. When does it start with bag directions?
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this. Great for National Sewing Month.
I had fun with this last year and made several Christmas gifts. Looking forward to joining in again this year.
ReplyDeleteWill try to play along, you have picked some useful shapes and styles Patty :)
ReplyDeletePatty ..thanks for encouring us out here in blog reader land. I made many gifts via Bag It last season and can't wait for this years fun. Glad it's a longer 'season'

This is awesome, excited to join in. I think I will finally make a sew together bag, I've had the pattern for so long. Just need to order a bunch of zippers.
ReplyDeletePatty, so I'll have to wait until November 28 for the Market Bag Pattern? Just checking. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOh, I sooooo want to join in!
ReplyDeleteThe bag I'm using at the moment (made about ten years ago) really needs replacing. I bought new fabric in the Summer but haven't got round to starting yet!
Now I just need some wintery days so I have a good excuse to stay indoors and sew!
