Phone Case

My mom recently got a smart phone and wanted a nice soft case to keep it safe.   I had large scraps of this beautiful fabric sitting in my stash for a really long time, so I whipped together a case with a nice magnetic snap.

As a bonus, since I clearly love making bags, I made her a small bag that she could use to carry her phone, her glasses and her book as she wandered around the house.

Handy to keep it all in one place.

Bag It ends this FRIDAY.  Please, please get those bags linked up.

If you don't want to post them because they are gifts then send them to me as an email!  Just fill in this form and instead of pasting your link just put a message that you sent them by email!!  I'll keep your secret, promise!

Got a bag photo to link up?  You can do so on last Friday's post.

Me, no more bags between now and Christmas.  Just a tree skirt and two wall hangings to quilt.  Better get to it!

Mini iPad Case

My hubbie shopped early this year for my Christmas gift and let me start using my new mini iPad once it arrived.  (What a sweetie!)  My original iPad had really started to misbehave and I needed a new one.

Of course it needed a case.  So I pulled out some of my most favorite fabric ever from the Moda Sweetwater Pure line and made a case.

iPad mini case

It fits all nice and snug inside. Velco closing keeps it nice and secure.

To make this, I did a modified version of my own iPad case tutorial without binding.  I love how it turned out.  (I will write this up someday soon!)

I love to prop my iPad mini by my sewing machine and listen to music, podcast and some videos.
