My House
The challenge for the next issue of Curated Quilts was house blocks using a specific color palette. I ran through several ideas in my head, on paper and even one on fabric before I decided on this one.
There were quite a few threads to bury with my concentric circle quilting but I really like the effect. My favorite part, though, is the heart.
I've done these challenges every time and my quilts have yet to make the cut. While I hope to get a mini in Curated Quilts some day, part of this is just to experience the challenge and step out of my comfort zone.
My mini finishes at 12 x 12''. I'll be linking up here.
Have a wonderful day! Patty

A very fun mini. It must be a very competitive group if you don't make the cut this time. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWell, I like it, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe heart is a perfect detail and I love how the concentric circles radiate out from home. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it too. Very cute and modern. The concentric circles are something I want to try soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Patty! From what I've seen of your minis, they are the ones missing out. This is SO cute, and I really love the concentric circle quilting! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little mini! Home is where the heart is! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute mini and the little added heart is the perfect detail.

This is super cute! I really like the circles that center on your house. I hope you make the cut!
ReplyDeleteI love everything in your mini, the design (cute little red house!), the quilting (such a great idea, concentric circles are just perfect), and the heart!
ReplyDeleteI think this one might make it in. I entered a quilt this time for the first time and I'm planning to keep trying them as well. It's an interesting process.
ReplyDeleteThat is super cute. The heart in the read house reminds me of the red center in log cabin blocks. Clever!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful graphic. The heart is the perfect touch. Best of luck, but it's a winner no matter what.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and fun! Well done!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely - my mouth dropped open when I saw it in my Inbox! The red house with the heart is so sweet! Thank you for sharing a winner of my heart! :)
ReplyDeleteOh definitely, this one is a winner! Love the one red house. Your circle quilting is very well done. (I wish I could get my quilting so even and smooth.) This is the one!
