Spring flowers - more tulips!

Click here for the April One Monthly Goal Link-Up!

Loved making the tulip quilt last week so much that I went ahead and made another one - table runner sized (15 x 30'') using some pretty colors from American Made Brand Solids.  (More information on pattern here.)

Now the box shape of these tulips was one of those happy mistakes.  I misread the pattern but really liked the way it looked so kept it this way!

I had fun doing some FMQ on the background - a bunch of loops.  The tulips were out-lined around the edge as well as along that highlight strip int he middle.  The leaves were needle turned.  (I need a new needle turn project now!)

I found this fun backing fabric on clearance.  Since this is a gift, I wanted something pretty!

There are no tulips growing in my yard.  But there are some azalea flowers.  So pretty!

My tulip table runner will be linked up with Main Crush Monday's,   Freemotion by the River,   WIP Wednesday's,  Let's Bee SocialMidweek Makers.  Needle and Thread Thursdays, Finish it Up Friday and Finished or Not Friday.   My tuliptable runner is finish #17 for 2017 - many of these (but not all) are minis.

Have a wonderful day! Patty

  2. Oh so cute! Still waiting for the tulip explosion around here! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Wow - finish #17 for 2017. That is fabulous! I'd have to think about it but mine are only in the single digits. LOL

  4. Oh how lovely and spring like, I love tulips!

  5. Very pretty. It definitely says "spring". Congrats on all the finishes for the year, even if they are mini's, those check marks in the finished column are nice.

  6. Such cute flowers, I love tulips!

  7. You have 3 lovely tulips in your yard, for now.
