Scraps - A Finish!

I've finished several quilts recently.   This one I call Scraps.  I made the blocks last year as part of the Patchwork QAL sponsored by Fat Quarter Shop - find more information here.

Each month, a pattern for a 5'' block was released and I used up scraps from several projects, all fabrics from various Bonnie & Camille lines.

Even the binding was scrappy!

The quilting has been done for awhile but I finally invested the time to bind and get the quilt labeled.  This is a gift for one of my daughter's teachers.  My daughter is about to graduate from High School and has had the same teachers (Special Education) for many years.

It will be hard for her to say goodbye!

I'll be linking up my finish with  Freemotion by the River,   WIP Wednesday's,  Let's Bee SocialMidweek Makers.  Needle and Thread Thursdays, Finish it Up Friday and Finished or Not Friday.

Have a wonderful day! Patty

  7. Hi Patty,
What a beautiful quilt, and I know your daughter's teacher is going to love it and cry. My bestie has been a first grade teacher for more than 30 years, and each year she cries when she says goodbye to her kids at the end of the year. I can only imagine the bond that has been made between the two of them, and she really has spent more time with that teacher than with you. She will appreciate it so much and feel all the love you have stitched into this wonderful special quilt. ~smile~ Roseanne

  12. I was a high school English teacher for 28 years. I loved all of my students, but it was especially wonderful to get to know the those who took several classes with me. Megan's teacher will remember her always and will proudly display your beautiful gift. (I know I would!)
