Project Bags

Click here for One Monthly Goal post for June

Now that I've turned into a needle-applique junkie, I wanted to make a project bag to keep everything I need at hand for working on my project.  (See my Rin blocks here.)

For this bag, I used the smallest of scraps I had left over from the Riley Blake Challenge to piece together the inside of the bag.  (See my entry quilt.)   My project fits nicely inside along with my fun tin which has my thread, needles and scissors.  The clear vinyl keeps everything visible.

For the last two years, I've hosted an event on my blog called Bag It.  During this event, I've shared different bag tutorials (you can find the tutorials here) and welcomed people to share the bags that they've made.  Sponsor prizes were awarded randomly to participants.

I am planning a Bag It event for this fall and have been working on some tutorials for new bags as well as some new fun things for the event.   This was my first attempt at making my project bag design.  I'm pleased with how it turned out but I am going continue to refine in order to simplify construction.

I'll be linking up my project bag with  Freemotion by the River,   WIP Wednesday's,  Let's Bee SocialMidweek Makers.  Needle and Thread Thursdays, Finish it Up Friday and Finished or Not Friday.

Have a wonderful day! Patty
