February Temperatures

I've set about on a year long project to document the daily high temperature with a hexie.  (See more information here.)

January and February are done and I'm pleased that I've managed to stay relatively current - essentially I make and attached the hexie in the same day.

The bottom row is January 1 through 15, next row January 16 through 31.   That top row is February 16 through 28.  I am considering a low volume background and will fill in the rest of that row.

That orange hexie in the sea of blues, aquas and green was an 80 degree day we got in mid-February.  Go NC!

Here is the mapping of color to temperature range.  These hexies are now sewn together in one long strip , shown in the photo above.

Next step is to get ahead of this a bit and make lots of hexies so keeping current isn't quite as much work each day.

Have a wonderful day! Patty

  2. Wow, way to stay current, Patty. Making up some hexies in advance sounds like a great plan.

  4. Run!! I'm doing one also, using high and low for the day with a free form drunkard's path block -- fun, but get impatient to add more!!
