One Monthly Goal 2018

Overview 

Select ONE of your creative goals for the month that uses fabric, thread and / or yarn.  This could be to make a few blocks. cutting fabric for a project, sewing on a binding, or finish a quilt top.  Any goal that involves a step in the process of making with thread, fabric or yarn is a valid goal.

Describe your goal in a:
  • blog post complete with a photo(s) of your project and a link back to One Monthly Goal. (main event page or to the actual linkup page)
                                                  or
                                                  or
  • via Flickr complete with a photo(s) of your project and a link back to One Monthly Goal. (link to this main event page or to the actual linkup page)

Add your project to the link-up at the goal setting link-up.  (Each month, the goal-setting link-up will be open from the 1st through the 7th, closing at 11:55 pm ET.)

Then come post again at the end of the month to share your accomplishment in the One Monthly Goal Finish Party.  The finish party which will run for 6 days at the end of the month.

Each month, there will be a random drawing from those who joined both the finish link-up and the goal link-up to select 3 participants who will win a prize from our sponsors!  Fat Quarter Shop and Make Modern magazine along with a featured designer are providing prizes each month.

At the end of each quarter (i.e. March, June, September & December), an extra prize will be awarded randomly from those who met their goals in any/all of the 3 months in that quarter.  Aurifil and Green Fairy Quilts have provided prizes for the quarterly winners.

Finally, each time you join the linkup, you earn an entry into the Grand Finale prize drawing! Link up in the goal setting and the finish linkup each month of the year earns 24 entries into the Grand Finale prize drawing. Link up goals one month but never quite got to the finish?  You still earn an entry for participating in the goal link up!  Fat Quarter Shop and C&T Publishing are offering prizes for the grand finale.

Participant Guidelines

To be eligible for the prize(s) in a given month (awarded by random drawing):
  • You must linkup for both the goal setting party and the accomplishment party, following the guidelines (including social tags and links) for your blog post, Instagram or Flickr.  
  • Have a valid email address.  If you win the random drawing, you'll need to respond to the email announcing you as the winner within 48 hours to confirm your prize
To be eligible for the quarterly prize(s) (awarded by random drawing):


  • You must linkup for the goal setting party and the accomplishment party at least one month during that quarter.  Each time you link-up earns an entry into the quarterly draw, with a maximum of three entries.  You must follow the guidelines (including social tags and links) for your blog post, Instagram or Flickr.
  • Have a valid email address.  If you win the random drawing, you'll need to respond to the email announcing you as the winner within 48 hours to confirm your prize

To be eligible for the grand finale prize(s) (awarded by random drawing):

  • You must linkup for the goal setting party and (optionally) the accomplishment party.   Each time you link-up earns an entry into the quarterly draw, with a maximum of 24 entries.  You must follow the guidelines (including social tags and links) for your blog post, Instagram or Flickr.
  • Have a valid email address.  If you win the random drawing, you'll need to respond to the email announcing you as the winner within 48 hours to confirm your prize

Participants are welcome world wide!   Once winners have confirmed, the Finish Party post will be updated to announce the winners.
