100 Day Project update - 76 days to go

Back on Tuesday, November 10, Cassandra kicked off the 100 days to QuiltCon countdown.

I decided to join in and make as many 4-patches as I can with the goal of having enough to make a 60'' x 60'' quilt.  Into my bottom-less bin of solid scraps I went and started trimming down to 1 1/2 '' strips and then sewing things together.

24 days into the 100 days, I find that I am working on this project in spurts as opposed to making some every day.  I think that's ok - there is other sewing I want to do.   But the challenge for me is to try and make 100 of these units to mark the time to QuiltCon.

As luck would have it, I've got 24 ready to go!

My little postage stamps will finish at an inch!  The squares above will finish at 6'' square.

And a pile of 4 patches ready to go!  New Year's Eve will be the halfway point.  :-)

Have a wonderful day! Patty

  1. A 60" x 60" postage stamp quilt top will be an awesome reward for counting down the days to QuiltCon!

  2. It's nice to observe how the white brings everything together. This is a fun project.

  3. Oh yes. Don't I know this project?! It's a good way to use fabric, though little bits this size didn't make much of a dent in MY bins of scraps. You've set yourself a worthy goal. Enjoy it!
