Since I enjoyed the orange peels I used for the leaves on my tulip quilt top, I decided to go for orange peels again. I played around with some different ideas for color placement and settled on a few so I basted those down first.
Time to add more!
The fabric I'm using is from Michael Miller. There were offering fabric samples at their booth at QuiltCon with a request to make blocks for a friendship quilt for QuiltCon 2018. (I'll share my block for the friendship quilt soon.) I choose Painter's Canvas in colors Lime, Lagoon, Indigo and Mermaid. (Get name for a fabric color!)
Orange Peels will be linked up with Main Crush Monday's, Freemotion by the River, WIP Wednesday's, Let's Bee Social, Midweek Makers. Needle and Thread Thursdays, Finish it Up Friday and Finished or Not Friday.
Great colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely colours! I would be tempted if I wasn't already playing with yarn and knitting needles :)

Fabulous fabrics and colours!!! Very Grunge-like imho, and I love those.
ReplyDeletePretty colors, fun fabrics!
ReplyDeleteAre you hand basting and then machine appliqueing them? I have a Craftsy class on applique. I really need to finish watching it and start a project. It's something I would love to do. I like those fabrics you are using!
ReplyDeleteLovely project! I am falling in love with orange peels! Your's are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous colors! I've never done orange peels but I'm certainly tempted, since I love a good hand stitching project! Yours look wonderful!
