Some Bags

If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you'll know I love making bags.

I made two recently - one for me and one for a friend!

For these, I used Anna's Wide Open Zippered Pouch tutorial.

And they sure do live up to their name.  This is the middle sized, boxed at 1 1/2 ''.

I also made great progress on a Sew Together Bag.  I enjoy making this bag but only if I spread the construction over several days.  Here is what I have so far -

Hope to finish this one up soon.

PS - Clearly I like this fabric as a bag lining.  I'm using up bits left over from a quilt back.

Have a wonderful day! Patty

  3. I agree about the wide open pouch; this is the best-ever bag design. I do wish handbag manufacturers would follow suit then we'd all be able to get out our keys and small change without half unpacking first!

  4. I like your approach to the Sew Together Bag. If I ever gather the courage to work on one, I'll follow your example!

  5. The wide open pouch is lovely. I finished a few Sew Together Bags and I follow a tutorial (I may have told you about it before @ Quilt Barn dot blogspot. It is not for the faint of heart but they are great bags!

  7. Beautiful work, you always have time to finish your projects, how do you do it? I have so many half finished quilts and other projects, for one reason or another, they just sit there, waiting.
