One Monthly Goal - June Goal Setting Link-up

Welcome to June!

New to One Monthly Goal?  Welcome!  You can read about the event and the rules on the main event page.

Sign up to receive email notifications when the One Monthly Goal linkup is open.  Think of it as a helpful reminder!
My goal for June is to get at least the two outer circles done on my second needle turned applique as part of the Rin QAL. (Cheryl, our designer this month, is one of the hostesses for the QAL.  The block is designed by Carolyn Friedlander.)  Here is my block two all basted.

We have three great sponsors for June and there  will be three (3) winners this month!

Fat Quarter Shop, one of my blog sponsors, offers a tremendous selection of fabric.  Take a minute to check out their 2017 Designer Mystery QAL.  Fat Quarter Shop is always very generous with their fabric kits so you will have plenty of extra fabric for your stash (or make some extra blocks!)  Fat Quarter Shop offers fabric from many different manufacturers and you can find anything you are looking for there!  Fat Quarter Shop is offering a gift certificate to one lucky participant.

Green Fairy Quilts is a wonderful online quilt store that offers precuts, patterns and notions at prices that just can't be beat.  They are my source for precuts and thread - shipping is fast and the selection is wonderful!   Make sure you sign up for their newsletter and check out Judi's amazing quilting on herblog.  Green Fairy Quilts is offering a $15 gift certificate to one lucky participant!

I'm excited to introduce Cheryl Brickey from Meadow Mist Designs.

I had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl at QuiltCon and am a major fan of her work.  Cheryl is an engineer by day writing patent applications for a textile company and a quilter by night.  You can find tutorials, quilt finishes, an annual mystery quilt, and more on her blog Meadow Mist Designs.  Make sure you check out her latest mystery QAL which begins in July and is called Magnolia Mystery.

You can visit Cheryl on her blog, Instagram and Facebook.  Make sure you check out her pattern shop on Etsy.

Cheryl is offering two (2) PDF patterns from her Etsy shop to one lucky winner.

Now it is your turn to link up - what is your goal for June?  (A goal could be to finish a quilt but it could also be to attach a binding.  Whatever it takes to help you move forward and make progress on your projects!  And as long as the project involves a needle and/or fabric, you can link up!)

Make sure you visit the One Monthly Goal event page for the specific requirements for links and social tags.

And remember, to be eligible for the prize(s) by random drawing you must linkup at both the goal setting and the accomplishment linkup in a given month.   (The One Monthly Goal accomplishment linkup will be available on June 24.)

Make sure you add a link to this OMG post so others can follow where you are linking.   Let's make that easy -  just paste this into your post:

Thanks for linking up!

Have a wonderful day! Patty

  1. I love your block! I was so tempted to do that QAL but I have so many other hand projects on the I'm regretting not taking part!

  2. Resisting this Month---NO NEW PROJECTS!!! Gotta work on those dreaded UFO's. Thanks for the Link-up!

  3. Good luck with your June OMG. Thanks for hosting, it's one of the best motivators to get into the sewing room.

  4. Nice colors for this Rin block!

  5. Oh, your circle block and fabrics are so pretty! I do love Carolyn Friedlander designs. I think I'll hope over and visit the RIN QAL and see what it is all about. Can't join tho, too many projects to finish up this year!

  6. Your Rin is looking so good. 'Wish my hand-turning looked as neat as yours. Looking forward to seeing yours finished :)

  7. Good luck! That looks like some difficult applique with all those curves!

  8. Looks like you have a month of handwork coming up, very pretty block. What a great line-up of prizes and sponsors... I'm happy just to have a place to post my goals and be inspired to finish, or be somewhat accountable to sewing progress.

Thanks for visiting Elm Street Quilts. Looking forward to hearing from you!
